Signia Brings MaX and Active Mini IX to U.S. Government Services

Signia announced on November 2, 2026 that its Pure Charge&Go MaX and Active Mini IX hearing aids were available through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Defense, and Indian Health Service, according to the company’s announcement.
Mike Irby, AuD, WSA vice president of sales for Government Services, said MaX was intended to help veterans and active-duty personnel follow and contribute to conversations in loud, unpredictable settings. WSA had introduced Signia MaX on August 24, 2026, before the government-services availability announcement.
Four-Network Acoustic Intelligence
Signia says Acoustic Intelligence coordinates four specialized deep neural networks in real time to address speech, noise, the surrounding environment, and the wearer’s own voice. Its Acoustic Intelligence documentation says the networks stay synchronized, share what each detects, and shape one another’s decisions as sound conditions change.
The Pure Charge&Go MaX product page describes four corresponding functions. Signia says RealTime Conversation Enhancement AI tracks multiple speakers, while Own Voice Processing AI maintains the wearer’s own voice naturally. Own-voice recognition requires no in-clinic calibration. Ambient Scene Adaptation AI continuously analyzes environmental characteristics, and Dynamic Noise Control AI adjusts noise reduction according to the noise present, its location, and whether the wearer is in conversation.
Signia reports training the system on 40 million sound samples spanning 11 languages, six music genres, thousands of voices, and real-world environments. It says the system decodes surrounding sound in 0.01 seconds and reports 75% more sound data per second for RealTime Conversation Enhancement than for the IX platform. In research cited by Signia, 97% of wearers performed better with MaX in noisy group conversations than with key competitors; the announcement identifies the supporting study as a 2026 Signia white paper by Jensen and colleagues.
Hardware, Connectivity, and Active Mini IX
Pure Charge&Go MaX uses a rechargeable receiver-in-canal design and comes in eight colors. Its pocket-size portable charger stores up to four full charges. Signia says a full charge takes four hours, while a 30-minute charge provides up to six hours of runtime. OneConnect Technology supports Bluetooth Classic, LE Audio, Telecoil, and Auracast connectivity. Full Auracast functionality is scheduled to be enabled through a firmware update delivered through the Signia One app by March 2027.
Active Mini IX brings Signia’s Integrated Xperience platform to a rechargeable, ready-to-wear in-the-ear design that supports same-day fittings. Signia describes it as the world’s smallest ready-to-wear in-the-ear hearing aid with connectivity. The company’s Active IX documentation lists two microphones, up to 21 hours of listening time, and a charging case for charging away from home. It also lists Bluetooth streaming for iPhone and Android devices using ASHA or LE Audio, hands-free calling for iPhone and LE Audio-connected Android users, and the AI-powered Signia Assistant for sound customization.
For Pure Charge&Go MaX, OneConnect includes Auracast support, while full Auracast functionality depends on the scheduled Signia One app firmware update rather than the government-services availability itself.
